    Dydh da!

    A very warm Cornish welcome!

Newquay Primary Academy is a brand new school. We opened our doors to our first cohort of new Reception children in September 2021 and are now three years old.

We are proudly part of the Cornwall Education Learning Trust and share a site with Newquay Tretherras secondary school. This means that, from Reception through to Sixth Form, our learning community shares an approach to education which focuses on achieving excellence and ensuring that each child achieves their potential.

Our philosophy is that stimulated children will thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning. It is for this reason that we base our teaching around providing a ‘proper’ childhood, where learning takes place both in and outside the classroom. We want children to feel part of Cornwall’s outstanding natural environment and proud heritage and culture. This is why education at Newquay Primary Academy is brimming with exciting activities and outings designed to enhance every child’s learning experience and sense of place.

Newquay Primary Academy pupils are proud ambassadors for our school and our values, both historic and present. Our pupils are given a strong moral compass. They are taught to understand the importance of community cohesion and making a positive contribution to our unique community.
